Basket and Backpacks

This week we had the Legacy group from Texas here to do construction and VBS. While they were here, the backpacks for our Keeping Kids in School program arrived! They've been stuck in the limbo created by Honduran politics, but they're finally here. Legacy packed a handful of the bags before they were sent, so it was cool that they got to see the gratitude and joy on the faces of the kids that received them this week. The kids were so excited! Now to stuff and hand out the hundreds that are left.... :)

We also had Scott Galloway from Atlanta here to teach a basketball camp in El Por Venir. One day our translator couldn't come so I ended up translating... Figured out quickly that basketball Spanish words are words that I have not learned. I still enjoyed being there! It was a fun reason to be out of the office.. Plus Angie was there and literally stood right behind me telling me what to say for half of the camp. One day she will get over her nerves and just speak English, and she will be a fantastic translator. (hint, Angie, it's time!)

Anyway, this is Jorge hanging the net by climbing up and taping it down. Honduran basketball camp at its finest.
